Last August, I predicted lots of BADLANDS by Halsey for September and of course it rang true. Love the album but my fave tracks are: Castle, Hold Me Down, New Americana, and Ghost.

Justin Bieber, holler! I've finally admitted that I'm a Belieber and I'm so SO excited for his next album! WHAT DO YOU MEAN is sooooo catchy and I even love the acoustic version more. I listened to this exclusively for a week at the office and I ended up productive too so win-win!

Hippo Campus dropped their track THE HALOCLINE from their South EP so once again I'm all over it. I really have to stop featuring Hippo Campus every month but I can't help it! Their music is sooooo amazing!

Winterbourne just released their single TO GET TO KNOW YOU and I just want to fly to Australia and listen to them. For a week, it's all I can listen to. I hope a romcom picks this up for its soundtrack because IT NEEDS TO BE ON A MOVIE SOUNDTRACK! Gah, love love love this song.

My fall shows started to come back! Here are four of my fall shows, out of six that I'm already following. And I plan on starting more WHEN I FIND THE TIME.

Faking It

Faking It is back! The first episode into it was meh but after that wobbly start, everything's SO FINE. I'm enjoying it so much and that's the primary reason I'm watching it. It might not be that diverse racially, it's definitely diverse when it comes to the gender spectrum. LOVE LOVE IT!

You're the Worst

MY MOST AWAITED SITCOM IS BACK and THIS IS THE LIFE. Guys, I love love love You're the Worst and our favorite mean couple is back and just !!!!!!!!!!!!! Loving the episodes. Good 'ol fun with the gang.

How to Get Away with Murder

The gang is back and unfortunately, I was not impressed by the season premiere. But we'll see!

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

YAY!!!!!!!!!!! Admittedly, I haven't  watched the season premiere as of writing this but IT IS BACK AND I know Captain Holt is gone but I'm trying to move on and accept that. Excited for Bill Hader though!

Comet (2014)

Because of my immense enjoyment and constant praise for Mr. Robot, I had to check out Sam Esmail's  first feature film and I LOVE IT. I don't care what other people say about this film but I really really liked and enjoyed it. Ah, and it's so pretty too. Justin Long and Emmy Rossum were such great actors too and just, LOVE IT.

Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015)

Hey, bb. Dylan O' bb. Of course I'm watching this even though I haven't read the book and probably never will. Hahaha! I highly enjoyed the film, especially that I watched it with my dear blogger friends. Hee. GAH, the adrenaline and feels and anger I felt during and after this movie! So intense and action-packed and FUCK, TERESA, I HATE HER.

Heneral Luna (2015)

A great Filipino film! I'm so happy more high-quality Filipino movies are being made and are being supported by the masses. We really need to support and show the Filipino film industry that we want smart movies too. Still love On the Job more though. Haha!

How did your September go? Any film, TV, or music recommendations? More importantly, what great books did you read this month?

  1. Oh my goodness! Your haul is just insanely perf Dianne! I'm really interested to read a Katherine Howe book! Tell me if it's good! :D

    1. I'm so excited to read a Katherine Howe book too! I'll let you know what I think of it once I get to it. And yes, this haul is so big and perf and I love it! I need to calm down on the book purchases for the rest of the year. Ha. Thanks for dropping by, Kevin!

  2. Oh geeez, so many wonderful books. (My eyes are actual heart eyes.) Eeep, Fates & Furies is AHMAZING. It consumed by entire soul, and I couldn't put it down because I was so fascinated by the married couple's relationship.

Halsey's album is so top. It's amazing to see the blogosphere agree on her awesome songs. So excited that Brooklyn Nine-Nine is back! You need to watch the premiere pronto because I was dyinnng at Captain Holt's parts.

I would HIGHLY recommend Hamilton the Musical. Lin-Manuel Miranda is a frickin' genius!

    1. OMG ever since Bea and everyone getting Fates & Furies, I've been eyeing it like so badly. I'm so so excited to get to it and I hope I get to it this October. Especially with your vote of approval. Hee.

Halsey! Admittedly, I only discovered her because of the book blogging community and I'm so happy that happened! B99 EEEEEEKKKK someone who watches it too EEEEEKKKKK Cee <3

I am definitely checking out Hamilton the Musical!

      Thanks for stopping by, Cee!

  3. You got some awesome books :) I am really excited for Blood and Slat and The appearance of Annie. I have also heard Why Not Me is fantastic! Enjoy!

    My StS

    Ashley @ The Quiet Concert

    1. I'm currently reading Mindy Kaling's Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? and I'm chuckling all the time. I'm so excited to read Why Not Me?, hee. Both Blood and Salt and The Appearance of Annie van Sinderen are in time for October so I'm pumped for my Halloween reads. Thanks for checking out my haul, Ashley!
