April Recap
Guys, April kicked my butt. I thought March was insane but obviously, April wouldn't let be beaten. I went somewhere for work where I labored A LOT but it was also fun because ALAS I AM NOT SURROUNDED BY MY CUBICLE AND THE MOUNTAIN OF PAPERWORK I HAVE. Anyway, here's the lowdown on my posts last month!

I want to share more about myself from now on so instead of just recapping my blogposts, I'm thinking of sharing whatever I listened to and watched in my monthly recap as well.
Music
Since I started noting down songs I got obsessed to every day, I'm including my top songs for April!
Dojo Rising by Cloud Control
This isn't a new song (AT ALL) but I had a Cloud Control binge at the end of March + start of April and this music video guys. It's one of my all-time favorites AND it makes me cry.
Paralyse by Polarheart
I got to know Polarheart thanks to being a Pynch fanatic as their song Hypnotise was a Pynch song according to Maggie Stiefvater. (It really is.) I was so tempted to feature Hypnotise in here but it was the song for March and I really got into Paralyse this April.
Heart and Mind by Winterbourne
New discovery and new it band. AUSSIE + FOLKSY = DIANNE IS PUTTY
I Wanna Get Better by Bleachers
Wake Me by Bleachers was for last month as it was the new addition to the Pynch playlist. But the whole Strange Desire album is so good that I feel like cheating for only featuring one song out of it. But I Wanna Get Better is so anthematic and it's the kind of song you'll blast inside your car and just shout-sing along too. Love it.
Wash It All Away by San Cisco
So obviously, I'm still not done with San Cisco's newest album, Gracetown, as an earworm. It's still a constant feature in my listening queue.
Raising the Skate by Speedy Ortiz
FOIL DEER IS NOW OUT ALL HAIL SADIE DUPUIS. This song is so feminist and girl power woo that I can't stop singing it.
I'm not bossy, I'm the boss
Shooter, not the shot
On the tip and fit to execute
I'm chief, not the overthrown
Captain, not a crony
So if you wanna row, you better have an awfully big boat
TV
Ohmygod, you guys. I binged How to Get Away with Murder. I watched the first two episodes twice then I watched it every time I can. Then one Friday night, I marathon-ed episodes 7 to 15 from 12MN to 8:30AM. That is how much I can't stop watching it. However, I was a bit disappointed by the finale. Don't get me wrong, I still am hella curious about everything and I will certainly watch the second season. It's just that, I don't like the direction the show is going. This is how Revenge dug its own grave after the first season so sorry not sorry if I'm not particularly enthused about how they're gonna handle it.
So jealous! It's awesome that you got an ARC of Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between! I hope you love it!

DO IT NOW, JUHINA! It's so fun to binge it because I can only imagine how even more crazy-making it is if I followed it week by week. But good luck to me for the next season because I'll be following it weekly!

ReplyDeleteI would totally recommend Empire (such a wonderful over-the-top show that rivals HTGAWM) and Daredevil (which is total love, but beware of blood and gore.
