Title: Crossing
Author: Stacey Wallace Benefiel
Date of Publication: May 8, 2013

He stole her lipstick…and her heart.

Twenty-year-old Dani Walker can’t believe her luck when she’s paired up with the gorgeous Liam Garrett as her Acting I scene partner – or when he ends up in her bed. Being a Plain Jane with a mouth on her hasn’t exactly served Dani well in the guy department. In fact, she’s had nothing but one night stands. Still, she lets go of her insecurities and falls for Liam, despite feeling like he’s holding something back.

When Dani finally discovers Liam’s secret, she must learn the true meaning of accepting the ones we love for who they are, or risk losing the best thing that’s ever happened to her.

Due to heavy subject matter, Crossing is recommended for readers 17+.

The Music of CROSSING
by Stacey Wallace Benefiel

I make a playlist for every book I write and I often associate a particular song with each character. Here’s what I listened to while writing CROSSING:

The entire RED album by Taylor Swift

The entire Night Visions album by Imagine Dragons

Dani and Liam songs

Fall by Justin Bieber (I KNOW) during the costume party scene
One Love by Justin Bieber (I KNOW, I KNOW) during the dancing in the club and hall scene
Closer by Tegan and Sara during the first love scene where Liam steals Dani’s lipstick

I’ll admit, the Justin Bieber was a surprise. Never thought I’d be a fan, but the scenes just flowed when the songs were playing, so there ya go. Listening to all of these songs puts me right back into CROSSING. Especially, Closer, that is forever going to be Dani and Liam’s song.
