After the handsome Tam discovers her cleaning up after him and his rich friends, Ruby has never felt more like a character from her sister’s book of fairy tales.
Tam sees beyond Ruby’s job and ratty clothes, and sweeps her off her feet, treating her like a real princess, but Ruby is sure this beautiful boy is too good to be true. And as one tragedy after another befalls Ruby and her family, Ruby painfully learns that magic is all too real, and it always comes with a price.
Thank you for suggesting I create a dream cast for a Slumber movie because it gave me an excuse to watch every Channing Tatum movie in existence for, um, research purposes.
My dream cast for Slumber would be as follows:
Ruby – Chloe Moretz. She has a down-to-earth, take no crap quality while still being a little fragile. Ruby is put through the wringer in this story, but I think Chloe would be able to handle the emotions.
Tam – This role was tricky to cast. Tam is a complicated character, immortal, world weary, yet with a playful spirit. Jamie Campbell Bower comes closest to what I pictured Tam to be.
Ivy – Hailee Steinfeld. I’m casting against type with her, but I think she’d have a blast playing a raging beeyotch (which is what Ivy definitely is).
Ash – Channing Tatum. He’d probably steal every scene he was in.
Cosette – Saoirse Ronan. She’d have a blast with a French accent, plus she’d be in every scene with Channing Tatum so she’d probably work for free.
Shelley – Shelley is a cutie and so is Mackenzie Foy. Boom, hired.
